Alumni Council
Get Involved to Support The Island School
The Island School is launching the Alumni Council to strengthen connections and support our alumni engagement, outreach, events, and philanthropic efforts.
Serving in an advisory capacity, the Alumni Council brings together a small group of alumni leaders who are passionate about The Island School and eager to contribute ideas, perspectives, and energy. Council members meet quarterly, serve as ambassadors within the alumni community, and help shape the future of alumni involvement, while gaining deeper insight into the School and its strategic priorities.
The Alumni Council is a non-governing body and may serve as a pathway for alumni interested in deeper leadership roles, including future Board or committee service.

Who Should Apply?
Any Island School Semester, Summer Term, and Deep Creek Middle School alumni who are eager to promote community and connection should apply.
Applicants must be at least age 21 or older.
Time Commitment
Alumni Council appointees will serve a two-year term with quarterly virtual meetings, with some additional time requirements outside of meetings for events and engagement work.
If you’re interested in helping guide alumni engagement at The Island School, we invite you to apply to join the inaugural cohort of the Alumni Council. Please email our Alumni Relations Manager, Megan Platt, at meganplatt@islandschool.org with any questions.
Applications are due June 1, 2026.
