Admission Overview
The first step in your Island School journey is to start an application for admission. Our application is student-led and *non-binding, and students can only pursue one program application per admissions cycle for the Semester or Summer Term.
Applications for the 2027-2028 school year (Summer Term 2027, Fall 2027, and Spring 2028) is now open! Please reach out to the Admissions team (admissions@islandschool.org) with your questions!
*Non-binding means that students are not committed to attending at any stage in the process, even if admitted. Give yourself the chance to decide if The Island School could be your next adventure by submitting an application!

High school sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply (you must apply as a current freshman or sophomore).

Summer Term Application

Rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to apply (you must apply as a current freshman, sophomore, or junior).

BESS Application
The application for a BESS work-study away programme taking place during the 2027-2028 school year is now available. Please pursue an application for your preferred Island School term (Summer Term 2027 OR Fall 2027 & Spring 2028). All terms are paired with an internship placement; if you are interested in a year-long experience, we encourage you to click the ‘Apply Now’ button below to get started.
Students aged 14 –18 years old (current high school students or recent graduates), and individuals who are Bahamian citizens or eligible for Bahamian citizenship, are eligible to apply.

Credit Transfer
Semester and Summer Term students receive a detailed transcript from their program, and our credits are transferrable to both independent and public schools. We encourage you to use the Summer Term Curriculum Guide and/or Semester Curriculum Guide as a resource.
