Dining

The Heart of Our Community

Meals are served in our dining hall three times a day, buffet style. All seating for meals is outdoors, where students, teachers, researchers, and staff can sit, relax, and enjoy conversation together.

Seaside Dining at its Best

Meals are served in our dining hall three times a day, buffet style while programs are in session. We make every effort to serve wholesome, nutritious meals that feature locally grown produce and imported organic bulk foods. The Bahamian influence in our meals is strong with our passionate and skilled chefs, while also accommodating a wide range of dietary needs.

From our campus, our aquaponics system gives us greens and fish. Our farm provides additional produce with fruit bearing plants and vegetables. In addition, our farm includes chickens and pigs that provide additional sources of food and contribute to a closed loop food system.

Cooking Lessons

Semester students gather for a special cooking lesson using local resources.

All seating for meals is outdoors — whether on our patio, rooftop deck, or pavilion area next to the water. During meals, students, teachers, researchers, and staff sit together. Mealtime is a true communal event, a time for community members to connect, enjoy conversation, and share stories about each other’s day, with the occasional mealtime performance or announcement that brings us all together.
