Elementary Learning Center
Admission Overview
The Elementary Learning Center (ELC) is The Island School’s program for children aged 3 to 10 years old, on our South Eleuthera campus. The ELC provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that values experiential and inquiry-based learning.
Our students benefit from a collaborative approach to education across The Island School’s many programs and utilizes our entire campus, and our surroundings, as a classroom.
Priority enrollment is given to children of employees. Additional spots are available to the community and interested families are welcome to apply. Admission is determined based on available space and building a well-balanced multi-aged classroom. We anticipate a limited number of spaces available for the upcoming academic year
Admission Timeline
Registration for the 2023-2024 academic year is now closed. Thank you to all of the families who have applied. Families who applied will be contacted at the end of April to set up a campus visit. Please see the timeline below. Please note for future academic years that our admissions process opens from January through the end of March each year.

Admission Process
Families must submit a completed application in order to be considered for enrollment at the Elementary Learning Center. A completed application includes the following materials:
- Application Form
- Most recent report card (if available)
- Family visit and interview
- Tuition Assistance Form if applying (Note: Tuition assistance applications are reviewed separately from student applications, though all materials are due at the time of application.)
