Summer at the ELC
The Elementary Learning Center at The Island School is excited to offer a fun and exploration-filled summer camp opportunity for children ages 5-10.

When?
The ELC Summer Camp operates for 8 weeks throughout the summer, from approximately the end of June through mid-August each year. It is a day camp that runs from 8 am until 4:30 pm each day. Families may choose the weeks that work best for their family and summer travel plans. Families do need to sign up per week (you cannot sign up only for select days). Applications for Summer 2024 will open in Spring 2024.
Where?
The camp’s home base each day is the ELC building at The Island School, but this is just a starting point. Campers will enjoy exploring our entire Island School campus such as our beach, forest, farm, and research labs.
How much does it cost?
The weekly rate is:
$150 Eleuthera Residents
$250 Non-Residents
$25 deposit
Who is the camp open to?
ELC Summer Camp registration is open to children who are currently enrolled in our ELC program in addition to all other children on a first come, first served basis. For those who are not enrolled at the ELC, it is open to children ages 5 through 10.
Is transportation provided?
Transportation is not provided. Parents/guardians are responsible for getting their child to and from The Island School campus each day.
What is a day in the life of an ELC summer camper like?
No two days at ELC Summer Camp are exactly alike; however, campers can expect to receive breakfast and lunch in addition to a healthy snack each day. Camp days will be filled with arts, crafts, STEM challenges, exploration, beach games, swimming, and more. Each week, our ELC Summer Camp team prepares engaging and stimulating activities based on a different theme. Although themes are subject to change, some themes that your child can expect to participate in are: Under the Sea, Mission Impossible, Celebrating the Bahamas, Eco-Warriors, and The Great Outdoors.
What is the registration process?
Registration for Summer Camp will begin mid-April and will run until spaces are filled. Families must complete the online application and pay a $25 deposit fee to hold their child’s spot. We encourage families to check their schedules and summer travel plans carefully before selecting camp weeks.
