George Giannos (F10) returned to his sending school, The Lawrenceville
School, and realized they were missing a big opportunity to grow food on
campus.  After his experience in the Aquaponics research group, he brought
his skills back to NJ and developed an independent study to retro fit a
greenhouse on campus for an aquaponics systems.

Currently George is testing different variables in a small, homemade
aquaponics system to figure out how to proceed forward with a full system
installation.  The Lawrenceville School is a leader in turning the the
dining hall experience into “the inconspicuous classroom.”  You can read
more about their work in the New York Times.  Hopefully George can help build
upon this phenomal program.

Good work George!!!
